New software used is IBM DataStage. • A recent and major accomplishment was
the design and development of a Prior Authorization extract and load utility
that converted and loaded new Prior Authorizations under new Carriers,
Accounts and Groups. I received a Process Improvement Award for this idea and
utility. It will be used for years to come and will save the company
thousands and thousands of dollars and resource labor hours.• Also work with
Member Eligibility application. Duties include loading Member and Group
Eligibility files, Member ID conversions to meet the federal government needs
of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
In this capacity, I have written conversion programs and procedures utilizing
Free Format RPG, CLLE and . I have successfully completed the conversion of
millions of pharmacy benefit members in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota,
and Kansas. I am currently creating unique programs to fit the needs of other
states.• Currently, others work under my leadership to help with Prior

• Initially hired as a Senior P/A
II and in less than one year, was promoted to be the Warranty Departments
second (ever) Business Analyst. My new position consists of approximately 50%
programming and 50% design.• After 5 months, successfully co-rewrote the
monthly ACL process which improved the companies warranty claim approval rate
by an average of 15%. This monthly ACL process is how KMA gets reimbursed for
warranty parts and warranty labor from KMC. This 15% which I was part of, is
equivalent to approximately $150,000 per month.• Successfully rewrote the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resource Board
(CARB) reporting process which enabled KMA to be 100% compliant with both of
these government agencies and avoid strong penalties and fines. This was the
first time in KMA history (since 1993) where no fines where levied against
KMA.• Designed a technician certification program for Kia’s new Amanti luxury
car line. This project includes CLLE programs, RPG IV programs with BIF’s
(built in functions) and subprocedures, Client Access transfer requests TO
and FROM the I-Series built within DOS batch files (rTOpcb and rFROMpcb),
subfile maintenance programs, Excel VBA macros, and various other
technologies.• Various other projects using the above technologies. |

Converted legacy non-normalized databases to native AS/400 for a payroll
conversion project using Infinium software. Languages utilized included RPG

Designed and developed a Visual Basic 6 program which interfaced with Pilot

nightly run.· Designed, developed, and implemented a salon sales audit and
control process on AS/400 utilizing RPG IV. This process reconciled the pre-data
warehouse sales figures with the post-data warehouse sales figures during the
nightly data warehouse run procedures. Developed using languages such as CL,
RPG IV/ILE, and SQL outside of RODIN. · Designed, developed, and implemented
an AS/400 salon relocation process within the RODIN data warehousing

· Full Lifecycle Development
responsibility for WorldTIES application, which was a global currency
exchange program, including gathering requirements through extensive user
interface, design development and analysis, documentation, technical design
report and presentation, testing, and user acceptance.· Lead developer for
all AS/400 WorldTIES Foreign Exchange accounting applications. This AS/400
bank accounting application was written in RPG IV/ILE, RPG III, RPG II, CL,
and OCL. New programs were always written in RPG IV/ILE. Older programs were
always converted to RPG IV/ILE. Many end user interfaces contained
Sub-Files.· Transformed the backend AS/400 application from a very high
support intensive application to a system that needed no support at all.· Majority
of effort (80-85%) was spent doing AS/400 development and support. Remainder
(10-15%) was spent doing PC development in Visual Basic, DOS batch scripting,
Access, Excel, and others.· Lead the effort for WorldTIES Year 2000
compliance on the AS/400· Designed and developed 2 Visual Basic 6 Letter of
Credit financial applications which sorted through downloaded mainframe text
files and output to text files in proper order and format. These apps
interfaced with Access 97 and Crystal Reports.· Designed and developed very
large PC based Visual Basic 3 Foreign Exchange financial application. This
automated application allowed customers to initiate foreign and domestic
wires and drafts from their desktops. This app interfaced with Access 2.0,
Crystal Reports 4.0, and PDQ Comm.· Designed and developed 4 smaller size
applications using Visual Basic 4 and VBA which interfaced with and supported
the above mentioned VB app. These apps interfaced with Excel 97, Access 2.0,
Access 95, Crystal Reports, and Macro Scheduler.· Supported 1st level and 2nd
level help desk effort for Visual Basic application. Help desk activities
included VB application troubleshooting, Windows NT desktop and
troubleshooting, Windows 9X desktop troubleshooting, communications/modem
troubleshooting, NT/Netware network troubleshooting, printer troubleshooting,
and many other types of help desk tickets· Change management software used
was IBM’s ADM (Application Development Manager). |
